Garden landscape video .... press to play
This is the land where I learned the term "hardscaping' It is mostly an exercise in texture. The key ingredients are pea gravel, flag stone, as many big rocks as you can find and a lot of river rock for drainage. Since as few tress as possible were cleared, the garden areas are now being populated with shade loving varieties.

I found all of the squirters and pumps used for this pond. Unfortunately, I chose to use a black plastic liner. I am going to replace it with a blue line with a white bottom this fall. I bought 3 fish (comets) and never bought any more. They multiply pretty good. A blue herring comes by and gets some every year. I was going to shoot him until I found out he is the state bird :)
A pond cover made from plastic screen and PVC to keep out the herring...

Here are a few pictures of some other garden projects: Left to right are (1) one of my daughters 'helping' me landscape. (2) a green house that was once picked up and shattered in a wind storm... now silicon glued together and heavily anchored down (3) a grape arbor ... yeah I know there are no grapes... I'll put it on my list :) and (4) a really cool tree, I am not sure what kind it is, I call it the Gnome tree for now.
The Beginning of the Virtual Garden :
The goal here is to render an animated virtual garden that simulates its Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter life cycle. I hope to introduce forces of nature in the form of wind rain and snow... it should be fun.
